Customers Can Now Send and Receive Money Instantly Using their iPhone
EnStream LP today announced that the Zoompass™ mobile application for the Apple iPhone is now available for free on the App Store. As Canada’s first mobile payment service, Zoompass gives Canadians a fast and convenient way to send and receive money securely using their mobile phone.
Consumers can visit www.zoompass.com to enroll in the Zoompass service and start using the money transfer service on their mobile device. Upon enrolling, iPhone users can download the new Zoompass app and will be able to send and receive money, request money, check their account balance, review their transaction history, and more. The Zoompass app interfaces with the address book on the iPhone, allowing customers to send or request money from any one of their contacts while on the go.
The Zoompass app was specifically designed to take advantage of revolutionary technologies in the iPhone and delivers a powerful user experience that allows users to Zoom money quickly and securely between friends, family, and merchants with just a few keystrokes.
“We are thrilled to extend the user-friendly Zoompass service to the iPhone platform,” said Robin Dua, President of EnStream. “Enabling Zoompass on a widely-available device like the iPhone is an important part of our strategy to empower consumers to perform payment transactions on any mobile device through an intuitive interface.”
“Zoompass is revolutionizing the way Canadians transact,” Dua added. “We are merging the wallet with the mobile phone and will eventually allow people to leave their wallets at home. We’re taking convenience and control to a new level by providing customers with the ability to transact with their money from anywhere, anytime.”
The iPhone is available in Canada from Rogers Wireless and Fido. “Rogers Wireless is pleased to bring an innovative application like Zoompass to our customers who are looking for the convenience of making payments and managing finances with their mobile devices,” said John Boynton, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Rogers Wireless. “We are excited to support the introduction of the Zoompass money transfer service to the Rogers and Fido iPhone community in Canada.”
Zoompass makes it easy to split a lunch bill, request sports team fees, collect money for a group gift or pay a housekeeper, babysitter or dog-walker – right from your mobile phone. Zoompass is available to the more than 21 million mobile phone users on the Bell Mobility, Rogers, and TELUS networks, as well as to customers of their respective sub-brands and affiliates including Fido, PC Mobile, and Solo Mobile.
The Zoompass app can be downloaded for free from Apple’s App Store on iPhone or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
